How would you plan to spend one full day in Phong Nha?
Which caves to combine and how to travel?
Option A (scenic + easy): hit Paradise Cave first thing (fewer crowds, huge dry chambers — ~1.5–2 hrs), then head back toward town for the Phong Nha river-boat cave in the afternoon for the underground river ride… paradise is a short drive from Phong Nha. phong na Cave is only reachable by boat.
Option B (more adventure personally): do Dark Cave (Hang Toi) for zipline, mud bath, swim and kayak as a half-day fun and then squeeze paradise cave if you got energy left haha. Dark cave tours are built around the zipline/mud activities and take a few hours.
for getting around for a day in phong nha you should rent a motorbike if you’re comfy riding, grab a taxi/xe om or you can just join a local combo tour with homestay pickup (super common). Paradise is a road trip while Phong Nha cave needs the boat.
