Paradise Cave Phong Nha Experience - Living Up To The Hype?

Paradise Cave seems to be the must-see attraction in Phong Nha but I’m wondering if it actually lives up to all the hype. I’ve seen some amazing photos online but also heard that it can get quite crowded and commercialized. Has anyone been recently who can give an honest assessment of whether it’s worth the entrance fee and time? My main interests are the geological formations and taking some good photographs, but I don’t want to deal with huge crowds or feel rushed through the experience. Are there certain times of day that are better for avoiding crowds? Also curious about the accessibility since I’ll be carrying camera equipment and want to make sure I can handle the walking required. Any tips for making the most of the visit or alternatives if Paradise Cave turns out to be too touristy would be appreciated.

bluntly speaking from my personal experience, its not worth it if you visited caves in either Halong or maybe other parts of Vietnam.
but if its your first time visiting a cave then yeah its a pretty cave.

to me it felt like way too touristy due to man man stairs and platforms for walking inside the cave and excessive lighting.
I have done the hang pygmy cave tour already so that maybe be the reason as I got a reference to compare it to a natural cave tour.

How much is your budget? If short of budget then I guess mada lake tour which included elephant cave and tra ang cave would be way better under $100 (USD). since its exclusive cave tour, you don’t see crowds and only the people in your group tour which won’t be more than 6-7. plus you get to swim inside a dark cave (tra ang) under pitch dark conditions. real fun! they give you life jackets which are mandatory.

Another option is abandoned valley caves.
